The Cub Scout Section is the second of the three Sections that make up Polesworth Scout Group. Leading up to the Scout (10-14 years) and then onto Explorer Scout (14-18 years) Section run through the district. Our Cub Scouts meet once a week in a ‘Pack’ which is run by a trained adult Cub Scout Leader and Assistant Cub Scout Leaders and helpers. Cub Scouts have a lot of fun, learn lots of new things and have adventure. They have the opportunity to gain badges and awards. The awards are given in recognition of the effort made by each youngster at their own level of development and understanding. The Cub Scout programme includes activities such as: • Camping • Caring for the environment • Model making • Cooking • First Aid • Exploring • Helping others The Cub Uniform consists of a Green Sweatshirt and Navy Blue cargo style trousers. A price list is available on our District Scout shop information page. A group neckerchief is also worn – this is purchased through your section leader.
