During normal cub activities the cubs will require a certain amount of basic equipment.
This is the most important thing for camp. It should be nice and warm, 2 or 3 seasons, not a single season or festival sleeping bag as they are just not warm enough.
Cubs will need a torch when we go on night hikes or on camp. Most opt for an LED headtorch as the batteries last longer.
This is essential. A jacket to keep out the wet if we are outdoors, it doesn't need to be an expensive one, just waterproof.
Another essential part of a cub's kit. These keep cub's feet dry and comfortable on camp or on walks. There's nothing worse than a ruined pair of trainers or a cub with cold, wet feet. A pair of gaiters to go withe them is also a good idea.
Knife, fork, spoon, plate, bowl and mug, and a tea towel. Cubs wash their own stuff, dry it and put it away ready for next time on camps.
We don't supply it as all cubs do is leave it for the leaders and cooks to wash.
