We encourage our scout's to become thoughtful, responsible young people. The scout code of conduct is developed by the scouts themselves with the guidance of the leadership team, it's often revisited, discussed and amended to encompass their thoughts.
Code of conduct
- Swearing or inappropriate behaviour is not acceptable
- Bullying is not acceptable
- Honesty is very important, lies go against the scout law
- It is important to listen when a leader is speaking, that's how scouts learn new skills to enable them to do new and more adventurous activities
- If you don't understand ask
- If a scout breaks any of these rules a strike will be issued, if 3 strikes are gained in one troop meeting or other activity the scout's parents will be called and asked to collect them. They will also be excluded from the next troop meeting. If 3 strikes are issued whilst on camp the scout will again be sent home and excluded from the next camp.
- If a scout's behavior whilst on camp or another activity is deemed in appropriate, or breaks camp rules set out at the beginning of each camp they will be issued a strike, a second strike will result in scouts parents being called to collect them from camp.
- If a scout whilst on camp deliberately breaks any saftey rules set out, or for extreme cases of inappropriate behavior, no strike will be issued, they will be sent home immediately.
