









We currently have four leaders at Polesworth and 3 young leaders. All the leadership team have a wealth of experience in scouting and a wide variety of skills, which provide us with an extremely strong and varied platform from which our programme can be built.
A long standing member of Polesworth Scout Group, having spent his time as a Cub, Scout and Venture Scout within the group. Justin is well rounded in all aspects of scouting and associated activities, but his specialties are survival skills, navigation, pioneering and kayaking.
Justin is an NRSA rifle instructor
The longest standing member in scouting we have in the group. Ken has been through Scouts and Venture Scouts in Tamworth district. He has been a Venture Scout leader, Explorer Scout leader and District Explorer Scout Comissioner. Ken is well rounded (some people say he is very round :-)) in all aspects of scouting and associated activities, but his specialties are navigation and expeditions, climbing, shooting and pioneering.
Ken is an NRSA rifle instructor.
Chris is the youngest adult leader within the group, and is currently also part of the Tamworth Aztec Scout Network. Chris is well rounded in most aspects of scouting and associated activities, but his specialties are Archery, kayaking, knotting, fire-lighting and sleeping.
Chris is a GNAS archery instructor and an NRSA rifle instructor.
Dez is the newest Leader within the troop, having been awarded his wood beads in september of 2010. He was a Scout and a Venture Scout within the group. Dez is well rounded in most aspects of scouting and associated activities, but his specialties are shooting, P.O.R and organisation.
Dez is an NRSA rifle instructor.
Heather was a Scout at Hopwas before coming to Polesworth to be a young leader. She gained her Chief Scouts' Gold
Award and has now moved onto Explorer Scouts at Glascote Heath, where
she has become a young leader, learning and honing his skills in
preparation to become an adult leader when she turns 18. Heather associates very well with the scouts, who often look to her for help and advice.
Jake has been through polesworth scouts, gained his Chief Scouts' Gold
Award and has now moved onto Explorer Scouts at Glascote Heath, where
he has become a young leader, honing his skills in
preparation to become an adult leader when he turns 18.
As well as being a young leader in the scout troop, he is also a young leader with Cubs on a monday night. Jake loves nothing better than being on camp, and spends most of his time helping the scouts learn new skills and perfect others.
Adam has been through Polesworth scouts, gained his Chief Scouts' Gold
Award and has now moved onto Explorer Scouts at Glascote Heath, where
he has become a young leader, learning and honing his skills in
preparation to become an adult leader when he turns 18. Adam is a very reliable and capable young leader, able to run activities to a very high standard.
