Cubs in the carnival

Details of the new hut

On 30th March at 7pm at Polesworth WMC, Dez and the hut committee will be announcing the location of the proposed new hut.  There will be images, details of activities that will be available.  The presentation is open to the general public as it is in public interest.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Cubs join together

From w/c 6th February, Monday Cubs will be closing and all cubs will meet on a Tuesday.  We feel this will make for an exciting cub pack, and it will pool together the combined expertise of the leaders.

The future starts here.

Polesworth Scout Group has changed its name to Polesworth (Abbey) Scout Group.  This will ensure the group has a presence in the centre of the village, however, the group will continue to meet at the hut and the programme will be managed by the leaders.  It does mean when we have to move from our home that we will be able to run events such as the litter pick from the centre of the village, i.e. Polesworth Abbey.

Scouts this week

This week we are on a night hike, we're meeting Pear Tree Avenue (next to the Wolferstan Arms) in Shuttington at 7.00pm prompt.

We should be back at Pear Tree Ave at 9.00 - 9.15pm.

Scouts should wear boots (Gaiters if you have them), hat & gloves and have with them a waterproof jacket and torch.

If you want sweets and a drink bring those with you also.

I do not want to see drawstring pump bags.

If it rains we will still be walking.

Remembrance Parade

A big thank you to all Beavers, Leaders and Parents who attended last Sunday's Remembrance Parade. The Beavers along with the Cubs and Scouts were a credit to Polesworth Scout Group.
